There may be many reasons, but if you are one of many people who have a low resting metabolic rate, or prone to chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, stress, these are some reasons why you cant lose weight. Some IMPORTANT guidelines on helping you lose weight by boosting your metabolism and gaining muscle and losing fat are revealed below.
EAT MORE and BURN MORE FAT
DO NOT DIET, by not eating enough throughout the day to sustain our blood sugar levels, we start craving everything. It may be due to the fact we are eating enough but not the proper amounts throughout the day.
LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE EATING throughout the day. To start, begin a 2 week diary of all the food and drink you eat throughout the day, and what you were feeling that day, happy, mad, etc. This actually works, I've done this for 8 months and lost 40 lbs by knowing what, when and how much I ate. After the 2 weeks, you will start to notice a pattern, are you eating too much or too little and did you resort to food after a burst of anger?
SUCCESS STRATEGY of most weight loss is to change the way you are eating and why you are eating. Eat smaller meals around 6, throughout the day and include some form of protein (chicken, egg) into your meals.
PLATEAU ISSUES, concerning lost weight but you can't lose anymore, DO NOT cut calories but try adding another 1 cup of protein to meals 3 times a time, exchange 1 protein with another carbohydrate and/or fruit.
HYDRATE your body constantly, drink more water than coffee/tea/sugared drinks. Drink at least 6-8 ounce glasses of water a day and hydrate before, during and after a workout. Drinking will hydrate your muscles and flush the body of fat, waste and keep you leaner.
QUICK WEIGHT LOSS TECHNIQUES
Exercise doing Interval training, this incorporates at least 30 minutes of cardio with 1 minute of different strength training exercises. This training entails completing one set of weight lifting and/or circuit training with no rest in between sets. Make sure to do your cardio before or after the interval training, since this will burn the fat quicker and you will gain muscle, lose fat, not just water weight!
Sleep at least 7-8 hrs and Minimize Stress with yoga.
Stress contributes to weight gain by enhancing cortisol, the hormone that will NOT allow us to lose weight. If you are producing too much cortisol, you may develop weight gain, especially around the abdomen, the most common form of belly fat. Learn some relaxation techniques, meditate, do yoga and find a partner to workout with to enhance and push you to reach your goals.
